Test Equipment Maintenance and Metrology provides technical support to numerous manufacturing and development programs within Raytheon . Our work involves support of electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical test instrumentation used in the factory. The manufacturing operations is located in Louisville, KY
This position will have accountability for the calibration and repair of test systems and instruments within the calibration recall system. You will be creative and innovative, possessing strong organizational, coordination, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. In this position, you must be able to collaborate with customers, employees, and senior leaders when recommending process and procedural improvements.
This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas. This position is expected to be in factory with very limited work from home opportunities. You must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
What You Will Do
Understanding of Schedule, Quality and Cost performance management of areas supported
Interface with support employees including planning, engineering, quality, and other Value Stream Leaders across shifts.
Prioritizes project issues and assists in the resolutions process to meet productivity, quality, and organizational goals and contractual delivery requirements.
Ensure compliance to all pertinent operating procedures, organizational directives, and work instructions.
Analyzing data to drive issues to root cause
Engagement with Design and Test Development teams to solve issues impacting production
Working knowledge of ANSI/NCSL Z540 and ISO 17025 standards
Ability to travel as required
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree
2+ years of test and/or troubleshooting experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
Understanding of an Operation Environment (TAKT, Line Balancing, Value Stream Mapping)
Familiarity with Metrology related concepts such as traceability, measurement tolerance/uncertainty and/or calibration intervals.
Test equipment knowledge/familiarity with Tektronix and Keysight instruments
A continuous improvement mindset to enhance manufacturing test methods through process modernization
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A high level of skill using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint is required
Active SECRET clearance

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
