- Stack boxes within larger boxes according to established procedures and packaging standards.
- Use hand scanners to scan, sort, and track packages accurately throughout the warehouse.
- Move palletized freight across the warehouse, approximately 60 yards, from the receiving area to the loading dock using pallet jacks or by assisting a forklift operator.
- Load organized pallets and large cardboard containers onto trucks at the loading dock area.
- Climb into large metal ULDs when needed to reach and remove packages safely.
- Follow all warehouse and airport procedures learned during initial training, including safety and security protocols.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves and steel-toe footwear, to handle straps, boxes, and equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while supporting efficient shipping and receiving operations.
Essential Skills
- 1+ years of warehouse experience highly preferred, including use of hand scanners, skids, and packaging materials such as tape and cardboard.
- Experience with warehouse sorting, packaging, and general material handling.
- Ability to use hand scanners to track and manage packages.
- Experience using pallet jacks and working around forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with air cargo or palletizing operations is preferred.
- Ability to read and write English to complete required training and quizzes on warehouse and airport procedures.
- Ability to work an overnight shift from approximately 11:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., 5 days per week, with flexibility for schedule adjustments based on flight times.
- Openness to working weekends as part of a steady 5-day-per-week schedule.
- Eligibility to obtain a SIDA badge, including possession of original (non-copy) documentation such as a valid passport and state-issued identification, as required by airport security.

- Steel-toe footwear (steeltoes) required for all work shifts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ramp or air cargo experience preferred.
- Experience operating or assisting with sit-down forklifts is an advantage.
- Comfort working with pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to adapt to changing flight schedules that may require minor shift time adjustments.
- Strong attention to detail when stacking, scanning, and organizing freight.
Why Work Here?
You will join a stable, long-term opportunity with consistent hours and a set overnight schedule, offering predictable work-life balance. The role focuses on mostly light packages, reducing heavy lifting while still providing active, hands-on work. You will gain valuable experience in a secure air cargo environment and develop skills with warehouse technology and airport procedures that can support your long-term career growth.
Work Environment
This position is based in an air cargo warehouse at an international airport. All work takes place indoors, but the environment can feel cold and damp due to open loading doors and exposure to outdoor conditions. You will regularly handle thick straps on ULDs and work with gloves to protect your hands. The shift runs from approximately 11:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., 5 days per week, with two consecutive days off on a set schedule. Onsite parking is available for your convenience. You will work around pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, and other material handling equipment in a busy but organized warehouse setting. Steel-toe footwear is required as part of the dress code to ensure safety on the warehouse floor.
