In this vital role, you’ll help manage the flow of high-value avionics equipment—ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency at every step. Your work directly supports operations that keep aircraft systems moving, repaired, and mission-ready.
Position DetailsJob Type: Full-Time Contract (12 months, potential for hire)
Location: Wichita, KS
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (1st Shift)
Pay Rate: $ 24.09 per hour
What You’ll DoAs a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you’ll play a critical role in handling and tracking sensitive aviation components. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Verifying outgoing shipments for accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies
Handling and processing incoming avionics equipment, ensuring proper documentation and care
Safely opening shipments using tools (e.g., box cutters), organizing paperwork, and staging carts for workflow efficiency
Monitoring your own work to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy
Assisting with restocking supplies, including occasional use of a company vehicle
Supporting inventory and logistics processes using systems and procedures
Coordinating scheduling factors like holidays, overtime, and shift adjustments when needed
Documenting and reporting defects or inconsistencies in shipments or equipment
Maintaining a strong focus on safety, especially when handling expensive and delicate components
What You BringRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (team lifts) and 25 lbs independently
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and accountability
Ability to follow processes and work independently with moderate supervision
Dependable, reliable, and safety-focused mindset
Preferred QualificationsExperience with SAP or other ERP systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse environments
Strong organizational and time management skills
