Joby Aviation is seeking an experienced motivated and detail-oriented Senior Technical Recruiter to join our team and play a key role in scaling our workforce during a pivotal stage of innovation and growth. This role will be responsible for the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates for technical positions.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, collaborating closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, attract top talent, and ensure a smooth, data-driven recruitment process. This role requires experience and an understanding of technical positions, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for finding top talent.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with department heads and hiring managers to assess workforce needs, forecast hiring demands and build targeted talent pipelines
- Build and maintain a scalable recruiting strategy. Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts and offer negotiations
- Create and post compelling, accurate technical job descriptions aligned with team needs
- Source and screen candidates for a wide variety of roles across software, engineering, operations, aviation and manufacturing functions
- Conduct structured interviews and coordinate technical assessments
- Follow up with passive candidates and nurture long-term pipelines for hard-to-fill roles
- Provide regular updates on recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline health, and hiring trends
- Represent Joby at industry events, tech conferences, and career meetups
Required
- BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar field
- Minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience in similar industries and environments
- Demonstrated experience exceeding recruitment metrics
- Proven ability to understand and communicate complex technical job requirements
- Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Experience with applicant tracking systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using Microsoft and Google suites

- Experience with iCIMS ATS system
- Background in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, high-tech or start-up industries
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $118,200-$157,300/yr. The compensation package offered will be determined by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
